Where has the time gone?

So, here it is seven months later, and I have not conitnued to post on my blog. Wow! Well, things just got really bad. My two-year-old had minor surgery, then I had surgery, then other family illnesses and distresses occurred. Work got crazy for my husband. And I got discouraged! Too discouraged to even face my dreams again.
Well, we have finally been making progress now. Both my husband and I are now admitted to the bar in a new state! Quite a task! After six months, I am fully recovered from surgery. We have been whittling away at possessions, though we still have too many. We have renters in one of our houses and a contract on it!
And, sadly, with the passing of my grandmother very recently and my parents decision to move away, our ties to this state have disappeared. We now have freedom and permission to leave.
I wish it were as easy as that.
We have a beautiful home here in a wonderful neighborhood. My children are happy. We have a network here. Starting a law frim here would be so easy for us. But that is not the dream. The dream is 2000 miles away. So, I must pump myself back up to make the change. What happened to my bridge?
